The past week’s been busy for Lambda Phi Epsilon at UVa, with a successful philanthropy event, a trip to a brotherhood event, and a service event within a few days. Thanks to everyone who came by the chemistry building on Thursday to register for our marrow drive; our house can’t thank you enough for your kindness. The number of registrations we received was very high, and we actually ran out of swabbing kits.
This past weekend, our active house split into two halves, with one half driving eight hours up to Rutgers University for Lambdafest, a regional event bringing brothers together from chapters all over the east coast, from Columbia University to UGA to the University of Toronto. It was a wonderful networking opportunity, and we have nothing but praise for the brothers of Rutgers for putting together such a opportunity for brothers to meet through service and socializing.
The other half of our house worked with UVa Recycling to give back to our immediate community. This is our third service event this semester, and we’re continually grateful to have as many chances as we do to give back to the Charlottesville community around us.
