Net Results: Play Volleyball, Fight Hunger

Categories: Service Events,Sports Events

In collaboration with Asian/Asian Pacific American culture organizations at the University of Virginia, our active house is proud to have been a part of Net Results, a canned food drive charity event. One of the University of Virginia’s first volleyball-themed service events, we hosted the tournament on January 19th, with staffing provided by members of the University of Virginia’s Chinese Student Association, Korean Student Association, Organization of Young Filipino American, Sigma Psi Zeta, Vietnamese Student Association, and the brothers of our house. Each organization participated in the event for a round robin tournament for an afternoon of fun and charity.

The brothers of Lambda Phi Epsilon not only particpated as a team playing in the event, but also helped out logistically setting up and running the event.

The event collected 200 pounds of canned foods, and we’re honored to have part of the Asian/Asian Pacific American community’s collective effort in support the Blue Ridge Area Food Drive.
