The brothers of Lambda Phi Epsilon welcome any opportunity to interact and work with students here on grounds in order to promote education, service, and a general sense of unity. In the past few weeks, we have been able to organize and participate in a variety of events that foster these relationships, especially with other chapters in the Greek community.
Allen “Jabba DA Slut” Au of the Spring ’12 Iota Inferno and also the Multicultural Greek Council’s president organized Hope’s Community Day, where MGC worked with Greek Intervarsity to give back to the Charlottesville community. Brothers spent time creating a safe and fun environment for kids living in the neighborhood surrounding Hope Community Center and we hope that in the future, we can expand this event into the general Greek and UVa community.
This past weekend, we participated in Cavs Care: Greeks Give Back, a day of service where brothers and sisters from all four Greek councils, IFC, ISC, NPHC, and MGC in conjunction with Madison House volunteered at various work sites to mulch and landscape all across Charlottesville.
We also had a few bros participate in the MGC Unity Stroll during this year’s International Night. As Greeks here at UVa, we believe that through cooperation among our organizations, we can achieve unity in diversity and raise awareness about our ideals.
